Thunderbird and Android.

Here are some CalDAV and CardDAV servers which I tried
with Debian Wheezy in End of January 2013.

Setup is very easy, basically just install the package and browse to
http://localhost/owncloud/
(mysql-server needs to be installed to)
The created databasei and username gets automatically prefixed, see
/etc/owncloud/config.php

Has a much larger set of features then CalDAV and CardDAV:
 - files
 - images
worked nicely.
Images are, however, not auto-rotated.

CalDAV and CardDAV did not synch with korganizer.
I was able to create cal and card entries, but they
never showed up on the other side:
so they were either only visible in the webinterface
or only visible in the korganizer.

I think I trapped into http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=97252

But the tipps there are not correct, either.
So best look in the personal settings, e.g.
http://localhost/owncloud/settings/personal.php
and all the URLs you need are shown there.

Unfortunately I could not find a "Akonadi Resources Configuration" as
suggested here:
http://owncloud.org/support/synchronisation/kde/

But I could find it when searching for "Akonadi" when pressing on
the KDE button.

Ich bin da nun sicher keine Messlatte in Sachen Professionalität und
CalDAV. Allerdings benutze ich nun seit ca. 6 Monaten owncloud für Tasks
und Calendar (CalDAV) mit 6 Clienten und 3 Usern. Mit Thunderbid &
Lightning geht es bisher gut.

Ich habe Thunderbird Kalender mit einem CalDav Server ca. 1 Jahr in
Betrieb und kann von Thunderbird nur abraten.
Doppelte Einträge, leere Einträge, mehrfache Authentifizierungen ...
Ich bin gerade selber dabei eine Alternative (owncloud?) zu suchen.

Ich habe jetzt den Thunderbird (Sunbird) Kalender auf 2
Debian Desktops durch Evolution ersetzt, am Server / N900 nichts
geändert und jetzt funktioniert es seit einer Woche problemlos.

ich hab mit davical als server und syncevo am n900 keine probleme.
agendav ist ein ganz netter web-client, der brauchbar mit davical
zusammenspielt.
von anderen weiss ich von guten erfahrungen mit dem
caldav/carddav-teil von owncloud, das an sich sonst natuerlich auch
nett ist (als dropbox-ersatz).
